Work place injuries can be prevented if everyone is on the same page. Here are a few things that everyone should look out for at your place of employment.

Chemicals:

In the hospitality field, many of us have dealt with chemicals such as jetdry, sanitizer, and other dish washing agents. Store them in the desinated area and proper usage can prevent harmful effects.

Machinery:

These machines are not a toy or race car. One should never race around the warehouse on a forklift or pallet jack. Short cuts while operating machinery is never recommended. Take your time and be safe.

Poor House Keeping:

Treat your work space like how you would treat your own personal space. Keep it tighty and neat can prevent a lot of hassle. Make sure any extension cords are out of harms way and it will prevent a disaster waiting to happen.

Most of the accidents we encounter are due to human error. These scenarios can all be avoided and prevented if we just take some time to do some basic house cleaning. As a manager of a establishment, if you see something out of order such as a cord hanging out or a piece of tomato on the group. Take some time and pick it up or put it away. That five minutes could save you a lot of headache in the future. Do not neglect the the little things, it is what separates you as a good manager or just a stooge.
