Marriott training and development

In chapter six we talked about training and development. Marriot is one of the leading hospitality in the world when it comes to this matter. Training is the easy part of the aspect, is what do the employers offer to develop the staff is what impress' people.

Cross training is a big part of Marriott culture, Marriott claims they spend fifteen minutes a day to train each employees on different skill sets. They also offers Gateway program to train hourly non management employees on aspect of the industry such as, finance, human resource, information systems, loss prevention, public relations and sales.

There are many other great programs that Marriott has to offer, training on properties and Courtyard by Marriott international university is designed and focused on the brands position and goals for their assistant and general managers to thrive on.
