In light of recent shock waves, some of the big names in the entertainment business and politician has been ousted by people they harassed over the years. Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Kevin Spacey, Mario Batali, Al Franken and Andrea Ramsey. These are just some of the claims this year. In the years past, we had Bill Cosby, President Donald Trump, President Bill Clinton, seems like people just can not keep their hands off from anyone.
Any work place type environment all have a zero tolerance when it comes to any type of harassment claim. Even the strip clubs and night clubs follows a national mandate and in accordance to labor law. So why is it that people are willing to risk their reputation and their hard work to commit leud acts like these? Perhaps is power, when a person rise up to fame and power, some people can not be believe some of the names that are being thrown out there, but some of the names are more like, well what do you think. You didn't see it coming???
Basically, treat anyone like how you want your family member to be treated. Matt Damon gave an interesting interview this week with Spin. He said that he would not want Harvey Weinstein married to any one he knows. In the interview, Matt Damon said that no matter if its an innocent pat on the butt or if it is child molestation, these horrible behavior has to be eradicated. He went on further not to condone what C.K Louis did with his situation. He also express that he believe C.K Louis will not do these things again due to his apology and his statement of admitting to committing these acts.
These names mentioned are in the lime light, everything they do is magnified by one hundred percent. These cultures exist in the hospitality and restaurant business because these two fields tends to hire by what a person appear to be instead of what this person is about. The clothing they wear, the way they behave, and just the late hours as well as working with your fellow co workers side by side, these workers are tends to drawn to each other because of the amount of time they spend getting to know each other. It is a gray area where sometimes lines are crossed or it is too murky to see.
Bottom line is harassment of any type is unacceptable, zero tolerance are in full effect no matter what your job fields or what type of job you perform.
