Many of these situations we have dealt with, Ricky Carroll have some great insight to share with us about termination process.

Each state has different labor laws, first thing first is to coordinate with your human resource department as well as understanding the currents states labor law.

Documentation is another important process, it shows cause and reasons why an employee is unfit for duty.

Termination is always a subject where people can get uncomfortable and unwilling to perform the task. A good company and good human resource department will most likely offer what is called coaching process. Termination should always come as last resort after you have exhausted all other options.

After all, training a new employees cost can be high, but it will not be as the damage would be done from a wrongful termination law suit.
